I have a new CF-30, 30K3PAX2M, I added a gobi modem to it. My question is does anyone know if the gobi has GPS built in it. Gobi's website leads me to believe it should, but the Panasonic support people have no clue. When it installed it put nmea ports in device manager, and the sprint software says its disabled, the sprint software pdf says if it was not installed the disabled icon would not be there. Any help would be much appreciated. The Sprint SmartVeiw also says there is a Firmware update available, but no option to install, Support didn't help with that either. Thanks

GOBI is a modem... That's it... It may be able to find you via triangulation... But it doesn't have a GPS engine "built into" the modem. Heartlandsi.com can convert or add GPS for you or you may be able to order a kit from them. You will need to call them to discuss. The number is on the website.

Be sure you load the new Gobi/CSA Utility that was released the 1st part of November. It does a much better job of improving signal, and loading the device. You can find it on the Panny Support page under Mobile WWAN section. You will need to be a registered user though. If you have not registered your new machine it is a good time and place to do that.
