Panasonic still lists an XP recovery disc for a CF-31mk2,I'm guessing here but why not? I'm sure someone with more experience on the 31 will know.

    From a 5 minute search...
    Yes it's possible.......

As long as you can find the correct drivers for the hardware.
For example..does Intel make a XP driver for the CF31 (core i7) chipset?
    I don't know,,,I didn't look.
I recommend getting a list of the hardware in that particular cf31 and hunting for all the xp drivers.

Depends upon the comparison........Win XP vs Win 7...I'd choose Win 7..
Win XP vs Win 8.........Ummmmm Win XP

On my dedicated Ford parts / service manual unit..The software won't run on Win 7. So it's either Win 2000 or Win XP

Sometimes you have to run programs that wont run on other OS than WinXP, even in compatibility mode or on virtual PC...

    Thanks all for answers!
