Thank you for taking the time to look at my thread.
I am a honored and proud owner of a MAXED out TB-29Mk5 (128gb Sata2 SSD, 2gb RAM, WinXP-SP3, Touchscreen, Emissive Backlit keyboard, DIY GPS kit that contains a USB micro BT Adapter, etc..)
I LOVE this freaking beast. I first fell in love with these laptops back in my Fire Dept. days, then during my military service, and now in the civilian market
Prior to this, I had a TB-19 maxed out but I had to give it back to my employer when I changed jobs : (
Unfortunately, the Traffic Signal software I currently work with has become SOOO resource heavy that my 29 can longer keep up
My job also requires that I utilize XP-32, W7-32, W7-64, as well as Ubuntu on a daily basis.
I am looking into moving over from my 29 to a 31 here in the near future
I have found that some of the older TBs will support a 2nd HDD in the media bay.
With that been said, does anyone know if the same option will be available on the new 31s so I can boot into either installed HD.
The only other idea I have, in order to run all these multiple OSes independently, would be to obtain/purchase a couple of spare TB-31 HDD caddies, which look to be VERY expensive, and swap them in and out as needed.
If this is my only option does anyone have a lead or can point me in the right direction to obtain a couple of inexpensive HDD caddies (2 preferably) for the new 31 once received?
Any ideas that anyone could think of or suggest on how to accomplish this easier, would be VERY much appreciated.
Thank you for your time and have a great day
