So, as you all know, I have a CF-31 now (FINALLY! :D ).

My question is this: I want to be able to switch between ATI GPU and Intel GPU within Windows (Win 7 Pro), without having to reboot the thing!

In the BIOS there are 3 options for the graphics:
    1) Power saving graphics (shows up as just the Intel shared in device manager)
    2) Performance graphics (shows up as just the ATI dedicated video in device manager)
    3) Switchable graphics (BOTH the Intel AND the ATI show up in device manager)

The Windows "experiance" rating system goes from 3.9 to 5.4 when you switch between the 2 as well, however, when in "switchable graphics" mode it shows a 5.4, which would mean that it's using the ATI graphics...

How to switch between the 2 from within Windows?

    Thanks guys!

Update! So I put it in "switchable graphics" mode in the BIOS and then went to device manager and simply disabled the ATI video card and it appears that the Intel one has kicked in as the Windows "experiance" index went from 5.4 back to 3.9.

Could I have solved my problem? Is this the correct solution?

    Thanks

I would have imagined panasonic provided a software to switch between both cards (like the Lenovo T400 I had). Maybe the switch is automatic (Nvidia optimus like, I believe its called Ati Expressgate). Congrats on your toughbook btw! :D

I put an answer in your other thread. The switch is behind an icon in the system tray. Details are in the PDF instruction manual.

I got the switchable GPU thing figured out via the thing in the system try in Windows 7, however when I switch from performance BACK TO Intel I can't switch it back to performance again (It's grayed out).

How to switch it back to performance?

    Thanks

Another heads up: Docks automatically switch the graphics to intel.
