    HI Guys,

Long time since my last post. I have now a CF-31GG2EA1M Laptop for my wife.
I have a Factory CF-31 Mk1 restore disk with W7 on it that I just used on my CF-31A.
I did have a working W7 copy working on her computer but it was from a cf-29n then a CF-74G, Cf-30F and last a CF-30k. As you can see it needed a clean wipe and start over. When I ran the CF-31 Mk1 restore disk I was flashes a message of it was not for this Computer. I made a copy using my CF-31A and then put the disk in the 31G and it will not start. HELP... Thanks

    Dale

Make sure the hard drive is set to SATA AHCI not compatible on the bios for both machine. To make it sure, set both machine into default setting.

According to the Panasonic Configurator, you wife has a :
    Model Number:
    CF-31GG2EA1M

    Status:
    DISCONTINUED
    MSRP:
    $4,688
Description: Win7, Intel Core i3-350M 2.26GHz, No vPro, 13.1" XGA Touch, 160GB, 2GB, Atheros WiFi b/g/n, No TPM, Bluetooth, Lightweight Battery, GPS, Gobi, Dual Pass (Upper:WWAN/Lower:GPS), Emissive Backlit Keyboard, No Drive, Toughbook Preferred

Your G model is still a Mk1 - just the economy version with the i3 processor. If it was a Mk2 it would have a 2xxx series processor and be a 31J thru 31R model. Ohlip always gives great advice and probably has pinpointed the solution. If you still have a question, call Heartland and give them your model and serial number. For $35 they will overnight to you the correct restore disc. Good luck.
