    Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone has tried to make a small internal battery to power the computer for a couple min so that you can swap out batteries on the go? I was thinking of making a small 15V battery pack and connect it to the internal extra battery terminals. any ideas or suggestions??

I had called up Heartland for a reinstall disk but they have two options only. Win7 32 bit or Win8 and I'm not a fan of Win8. Is there a simple way to install win7 64 bit without going through the list of installing all the drivers??

    Any suggestions would be helpful!

    Thanks!!

If your toughbook has Intel graphics adapter only, the best way is to install media bay battery.
Re Win7 64-bit - it's not a problem. There is a corresponding drivers bundle on Panasonic's website. Install Win7, install bundle. Stop buying those CD's :))

So they have a single bundle to install the drivers?? :-D

I just remember doing my 29's and stuff... Load driver, install driver, reboot... Repeat with next driver LOL

    Thanks Maley!

I downloaded the bundle to my flash drive. I put in my Win7 64bit OS disk and it Loads the files. It 'Loads Windows' but then stops because it doesn't have the correct drivers. It will not run the install bundle EXE, it will not install them singularly, and it will not even tell me which ones it needs! LOL

I'm sure it is something to do with OpError ;-) Any suggestions??

Driver bundle...From within windows.... right click exe..run as administrator.

Are you saying that you can not get a basic install of win7 64bit to run?
What are you using for a win 7 install disk?
Full model number of CF 31?

    hmmm ...
perhaps using a "universal" W7 usb drive installer would work .
i had less problems (relatively speaking) by going this route .

It is a CF-31WALAXLM and I am using a genuine 'Window 7 Pro 64bit' install disk I have used on other computers before. (Dell, Gateway, HP, self built...)

It goes through the 'Loading Files' then 'Starting Windows' and you select the language and time zone. Then it just stops and demands Drivers with a pop up screen over the 'collecting information' screen/bar.

The screen has a check box 'Hide all non compatible hardware drivers' a Browse and Rescan button. it locates my USB and hard drive no problem. It shows the CF bundle but will not open/run it. When I had downloaded the bundle I accidentally ran it on my 31Q but that didn't disable my 31Q. So I saved the new folder onto my USB also and selected individual files but it still wouldn't install anything.

I'm off to do the 'For Pay' job now. I have another 31W I'l try loading it on tonight and see if that changes anything.

    Thanks Guys!

I don't think the dvd will work in safe mode. It will not load the drivers for it.

Cancel and let the OS just start.
    Then install that bundle.
