CF-31WFLAXLM - Dual Pass (Upper WWAN / Lower Selectable)

Bought a project and would like to understand the configuration better.
What does Lower Selectable mean? Also, what does Channel Limited mean?
Yes, it was 95% off list price...

Lower selectable is referring to the lower, or bottom, of the 2 external antenna pass-through the unit is equipped with. Some unit have 1 pass-through. The pass-through is used with a vehicle dock to facilitate the use of an external antenna. In your unit the upper, or top, pass-through is dedicated to a WWAN card while the lower one can be dedicated to any wireless device you may install, including GPS.

As for the Channel Limited, I think it is referring to the type of client the unit(s) can be marketed (sold) to. Rob can probably answer better than I.

Hi, I was curious and Google found the same configuration for sale - seller stated it was a Mark 4.

I’ve never been very Mark savvy

 

Neither have i, and I have a brother and also a co worker named Mark.

Very little difference between a mk3 and mk4 anyway.

 

Hopefully a Linux distribution will work out of the box especially sound and touch

I do have a CF-31 and that is the DVD drive. I don’t have issues so it’s not a big deal

 

Notice the 31 in the middle?
The 2 indicates it is the 2nd version.
The M indicates multi drive.

Back on track to this 31 using Linux for the moment. Jeff suggested going into mouse settings (using Mx18.2) which I did (see screenshot)
however scrolling through this forum posts works okay, but the mouse on a screen moving around seems "sticky", "laggy", can't describe it much better and wondering if there is another tweak to make it more sensitive?

 

Lowering the sensitivity way to the right seemed to help a bit.

Hey @UNCNDL1! Need anymore help on this? I think that Ubuntu with out-of-the-box things might work. Ubuntu on laptops with touchscreens isn’t my choice. If someone made a 31 FAQ (btw yes I searched and there’s not one) MK4s came with Windows 7, Ubuntu works on them but there is no drivers for Ubuntu. Unless you use the program Wine for Windows programs. I don’t know if they could do drivers
