Anyone have a link for a CF-48 service manual? I searched this forum and google with no luck.

Which model/mark do you have?

 

I have a CF-48X... which I think is a mk4.

I wanted to open it up and look for a minipci card slot for a wireless card.

if you turn your cf48 over there is an access cover on the right side towards the back. use a small screw driver on the right side to pry the panel up. hinges towards the center. hope that helps i just got a cf48x, came wth the intel wifi card.

Yep, there it is alright. Complete with antennae leads...

Unfortunately after running memtest86 all night, I kept getting the same error at the same location in memory. I am only using the onboard memory, so that is not a good thing.

I don't have an extra hard drive on hand, but once I do, I'll install an OS and see if the memory error causes instability.

Anybody ever fix an onboard memory problem? Anyway to disable it and just use the extra slot?

I have googled it... apparently there is a model of Toshiba lappies that often had bad ram onboard. People have successfully de-soldered the RAM and just used the expansion slot. If worse comes to worse, that may be what I do.

I got the service manual for the Mitac W130, I think thats the same as the Getac W130.
If that helps, I'll upload it!

 

Based on Google searches (both images and normal search) I think that these are the same... I've never heard of 'Mitac' however. Ohh well, you learn something new every day

Anyway, this rig is fast @ 1.1ghz, maximized the ram and I compared to my cf-29 1.6ghz and it almost the same speed.

On searching our files, I've found six files for your Getac W130 ( Mitac W130) and can confirm that the mitac W130 looks the same as the Getac W130.(looks like a tank in a box ) 007 or going to war???
