I have a Toughbooks CF-48 with a P4. I was surfing the web and all of a sudden it shut off or crashed and now it won't turn back on. I tried charging the battery, but it won't charge. I tried a new battery. I also tried another power adapter. It doesn't even give any indication that it is trying to charge. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the forum Kitty...

A dumb question... But have you tried removing the battery AND the AC adapter and letting it sit for about 10 minutes? Then try booting up again.

You see no lights at all when plugged in? None glowing or flashing?

I am assuming, as Rick alluded to, that you have no lights on the 48 at all. I am going to say that your AC adapter has failed. This would, of course, not allow the charging of the battery or to power the laptop. I would buy another AC adapter, or borrow a friends that match your current AC adapter specs, and try again.

Let us know how you fair...
