    OK,

Bought a pair of CF-50MB7FDKM, put in hard drives, WinXP, and was trying to install drivers, but no matter were I look, I cant find them for this model.

Went to the Pan sites, searched here, even googled, no luck.

Tried the sound and video drivers for the mrk4, but it says wrong device.

    Any thoughts,

    Sam

    Hit F2 when booting
Look for the bios version number
The first digit ,example V1.12 means that you have a mk-1

Look and report back your mk number

When you confirm the mk number install WinRAR

Use WinRAR and unpack the files

Then put them in C/utilitys , and either run the exe file for each or in device manager direct to the correct file in c/utilitys

I have that exact model and the drivers installed for me without a problem. I I got them at the Japan or Canada site. Make sure you have the correct drivers for the correct Mk and for the CF 50.

Here is the link for the Japan sites' CF 50 Mk4 drivers. There are 6 pages of various drivers. Copy and paste the entire link and it will take you to the exact page. Don't just click!

FYI ..That model comes without a wifi card and without the antennas. The mini pci slot is there though.

    "Clicking" the Link works:

To shorten the steps, try this link as well:

The one in my post doesn't show correctly, but your reply does show correctly. Including the part quoted from my post. Can I figure that you corrected something in the quote?
I am much better at hardware than software or any sort of programing etc...
I just cut and pasted the link in the address bar of my browser(Firefox).

    BINGO! :D

I noticed that your Link didn't work, so I "touched it up" to make it "Clickable."
I manually enter all my "Clickable Links", then test them to see that they work properly and go where I want them to go.

You may want to save the next line below as a text file so that you can use it in postings here:

[B.][.URL=" paste your web address between these quotation marks"] Title of the item you are linking to[/URL.][/B.]

Makes things so much nicer and neater. :)

Obviously, you remove the periods { .} from the entry before posting.

Also, copy it from the "Read" screen and not from the "Create/Edit" Screen so that you don't end up adding extra formatting characters.

OK, you guys did it again............. IT WORKS..........

A check of the bios confirmed it was a Mrk 4

It is a Federal Model, still had the govt. sticker on the bottom :p

I hadnt used the download instructions, just used a bunch I pulled to a thumb drive and tried to get them to work. A poor plan of attack I admit.

IN FACT, the WINRAR was a dream, and made them work in short order.

It had the wireless card slot and antennas, but no card so I put in a leftover Intell pro 2915, downloaded some drivers, and it works great.

Thanks, I honestly couldnt afford any more hair or sleep loss this week. :D
