Ok this can NOT be an up grade. But when your machine does NOT function at all. Anything will work. I had a handfull of these processors on hand and tried one. System boots to bios.
    Intel Pentium M 745 1.80GHz 400MHz FSB 2MB L2 Cache Socket 478 Mobile Processor Mfr P/N SL7EN
    http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_item...SL7EN&rid=88&gclid=COPD86iYlcYCFUs8gQod8qYA6w

I'll have to find where I've posted the #'s for the machine and post them later.

I gave the points to you....
When you get 25 points they the admins give you a free addiction to Toughbooks.... :D
No one has ever made it past 10 points before they are fully addicted anyway
The points are just attaboys for really good or helpful posts....

Here is where Blair means to post a for sale thread with any oddball stuff you have.

Here's the numbers from my CF-51. Copied from another posting. it seems that they are 2 different numbers. CF51MK225H06136 is the number on the sticker under the ramm. CF-51ZFYZCZM is the one on metal plate. Any ideas there?

    CF-51ZFYZCZM is the model number

The LCD in that Dell will probably work in a CF52 with the ATI graphics.

Ok. Booted it to Bios. This is what it reads. CF-51JF4ECBM Which translates to Pent M 760 15 inch uxga 80 gb hdd 1 gb ram and it's a MK2
So guess it wasn't a duo after all. Which ought to explain why the spare M cpu's work.

I think I upgraded 8 with the T7200 2.0 mhz and 1 with the T7600 but I found the fan was running all the time so I stuck with the T7200.

I agree with you from reading the thread, a T 7200 makes sense and gives the impression of speed and stability.
