I have a setup I bought for an IDE drive for the auxiliary bay and the computer locks up every time I stick it in. I even used a 60GB IDE to be sure size wasn't the issue. I would prefer to have a sata drive in since they are cheaper and bigger. But I want to be sure someone has got one to work before I spend money on an adapter.

Thanks guys got it fixed with your help. It was because I had the CD in the boot order. Removed it and it is fine still takes longer to boot, but I can live with that issue. Going to use it to capture and switch a couple of DV video streams. It is amazing how good these older computers work with a few tweaks and upgrades. I did the T7200 upgrade and upgraded wifi cards to all of mine long ago.
