    Greetings,

So far I have been unable to get a manual for a new, but incomplete cf-51. This semi-ready box needs a processor, memory and a keyboard. Does anyone have a pointer to a manual or know any clues how to get the case apart (or whatever it takes to get to the motherboard)?

    Thanks for time/any info.

Have you tried the support site for a manual download?

    Thanks for the link

In case others need the info, some info from online include:

Panasonic manual is tres $ (couple of hundred)

Some reference manuals are available off panasonic.net download center link

from another posting heard cf-51 (and other toughbooks? :p) open by slanting screen and unlocking hinges -- then opening screen till flat. At that point lift hinges up and off along with the front panel, exposing the processor and screws holding motherboard ...toughbook 101 I gather...oh, well, live and learn :]

    cheers

In any case, do appreciate your time -- it's good to have such links.

PS the http://config.toughbook.com site doesn't seem to work (for me) using Firefox on Linux (well, fc7) but here it is a good place to get info, too
