Good day, new to the forum and I've done a search on the problems I am having with a CF-51RCLDFBM (MK3 if I am correct).
Problem is the network adaptor no longer works. Not seen in Windows device manager and is not listed in CMOS at all like other CF-51's I've looked at. So that would tell me it's not a driver issue but either a system board failure or BIOS malfuntion.
I've been trying to find BIOS downloads with no success, I am wondering if anyone has a location for getting BIOS for this unit to see if that is causing my problems. A couple units also show problems with non-functional serial ports as well which I thing a Bios reload may fix?
Current Bios on each of these units is V3.50L13.

    Any help would be appreciated/

    Did the adapter ever work?
Are you talking plug in network or wireless?
I doubt reflashing the BIOS will work, but it doesn't cost anything to try.

Download a Linux live cd and boot from it. See if Linux recognizes the network adapter or serial port.

It is the Network port on the back of the unit, not the Wifi. Don't think booting to linux will show me anything as the Ethernet adaptor should appear in the BIOS setting as in other CF-51's. I have, however booted to a Ubuntu test drive and it also does not see the Ethernet port.
First thing I did was to clear CMOS with no change. I've gone to the extent of physically replacing the Marvell Ethernet chip with one from a known good MB, also replaced the Ethernet switch chip on the bottom of the board, in addition to metering loads of chips, caps, resistors, etc,,, with no luck.
Have read of others having USB ports, and other items stop working and a BIOS reload solving thier issues so I though I would try that, but Bios downloads for this model are impossible to find as far as I can tell

Some wifi problems can be solved by resetting the bios to defaults. Try that first.

(I had to edit. Auto correct on the phone had it saying wife problems. Lmao )

OK, as I stated this is not a Wifi (or Wife) issue, but a problem with the Wired Ethernet connection. System bios and operating systems do not recognize the port. I have cleared CMOS, with no change.
As stated I have done a lot of metering the board with a multimeter to find any hardware problems to no avail. Which makes me want to try to re-flash Bios and see if that makes a difference, but as stated I cannot find anywhere to actually get the Bios for this board (MK3LL if I read the comparison chrat correctly).

I had seen where you said it was wired but some of the wifi problems on that model are from wifi disappearing the same way your wired has. That is fixed by resetting to default. That is why I was saying to try it.

Actually have done both the set defaults, and drained CMOS by removing all power, includung disconnecting the CMOS battery with no luck. Have seen several of these drop the wired Ethernet port and have yet to figure out why, that's why I want to try a Bios reload, just to rule it out before I most likely just replace the motherboard. Just can't get my hands on the Bios anywhere.

Is the ethernet port on the same card as the modem? I think it is. Did you try replacing the modem/ethernet card? It's about an inch and a half square.

No, the ethernet port and controller circuitry is directly soldered to the main system board. I have actually replaced/soldered the ethernet controller (Marvell), it's physical magnetic switches and a ethernet switch chip with known good ones from another unit with no change. Bios does not pick up ethernet, this, once again the reason I want to try re-flashing bios.
