CF-52 ATI?

Hi, it has been a while but I'm ready to go back!
Though I saw today a CF-52 thats a ATI graphics. WHat is it and is it good for the price?

Your CF-52 units with ATI graphics will have the higher resolution 1920 x 1200 screen.
Mk1 HD2300
Mk2 HD3650
Mk3 HD5650
Mk4 HD6750
MK5 HD7750

( think I still have these Mk's right)

I still have one Mk1 and 2 Mk2 units. The earlier units Mk1 and Mk2 you could look at the bios screen and see video memory listed and go by what CPU it had. On the Mk3 up you have to go by what processor it has and the ability of the bios to turn off dedicated graphics.

So these units will have two graphics cards. A Dedicated card that is your ATI card and a regular Intel one like 3000/4000 series. It should auto swap on more demanding programs between the two once you have your drivers right.

The same video card in the later Mk's of the 52 could be had in the CF-31 as well, but the 31 units have a lower resolution screen. ( I have a 31 Mk3 with the 7750 and use it for gaming while traveling for work it has windows 10 pro on it)

I don't remember the processor size for the Mk3 and 4 but on the Mk5 with 7750 it is a 2.8 i5.

On the link above I started doing some cross referencing with the CPU size since they didn't list a model number.

Mk3 at 2.53 ghz i5 should be 5650 card
Mk4 at 2.60 ghz i5 should be 6750 card

So the question will be what are you wanting to spend, what equipment and OS you want it to have and how good of a video card are you wanting?

I basically want to have something to replace my current laptop with. I love Panasonic and their laptops so why not upgrade to one?
Anywho, I like the MK4 specs- 2.6 GHz, i5. I may put windows 10 or 8 depending on what I have. Question for you: How do the 7750 preforms for games?

 

I have a lot of older games I never got to play so I have been catching up in my spare time. I currently have been playing Skyrim and Fallout 3 and it plays them well. I haven't tried Fallout 4 on it yet. I do have a gaming desktop so I haven't loaded my top games on it. Just some I want to finish and try out on the 31.

But the reason I wanted the 31 over the 52 is screen resolution. With the 31's lower screen resolution the video card doesn't have to work as hard. So I can't make a apples to apples compare.

Now to get the 7750 you need the 2.8 Mk5 not the Mk4

 

7750 will play fallout 4, probably not the best experience though, lower details

 

So is the ATI different from the performance edition? They seem the same to me

 

Performance edition has a faster processor and the ATI graphics. So yes it is the same...
