Handed this to a friend of mine who will now attempt to solder some new fuse's onto the motherboard for me, he can't touch it till the weekend so i am hoping for some good news if all goes well after that, I will keep everyone informed as to what happens with it next though, thanks to everyone's input so far though.

    Regards to all Billyhl.

Just got the CF-52 back today and the backlit screen is now working, So a very big THANK-YOU to all of you posting here that have tried to help me. It was found to be the F3 S4A slow blow fuse which was causing all the problems, the F4 N2A was not there either but no voltage was tracked on either side so this was considered redundant. Glad to finally be able to see the image on screen with backlight working and am very gratefull for those taking the time to answer this post.

    Regards to all Billyhl.

    Hi Billyhl

Thanks for the update. It's great to have a documented success story. Here is a photo from an earlier post to show F3 S4A slow blow fuse location.

Quite a few guys deserve a pat on the back here, i know a lot of people get things fixed and never come back to say thanks guys or how exactly it was fixed so i thought i would make the difference and let people know how it was fixed in the end and thank everyone for the great idea's towards this goal.
@I58SR : Thanks for taking the time to edit that earlier photo of mine to pinpoint the location of the blown fuse.

    Regards to all Billyhl.

Cheers for all the help I've just recieved my new screen for my cf52 mk3 and it didn't work (no illumination). It turned out the fuse had blown on the motherboard as previously posted. Thanks again Chris

Blair...this needs to be in your magic sticky section, CF-52 patches or whatever. It would be a shame to lose track of it. It's up there /\ just can't remember what it's called.
    Good job troops.
