Brand new CF-52 with win7 pro x86. 1st boot (chose initial options, let it finish initial stuff etc), then started sp1 install from predownload. Its now been 2 hours and install hangs at ~70%.

    Anyone experienced this?

I had the same problem with my CF-51 and had to shut it down and start over. This time I disabled my antivirus and never had a problem. Not sure if that was the problem or not but I did read this some where.
Have you tried it again ?

No antivir was installed, totally fresh pc, i booted, made the startup config and started sp1 install. There's an update though; after 2.5 hrs it failed saying there wasn't enough space, its brand new?!!?

Just a wild idea. Try burning the service pack to a cd /dvd and install it from that instead of the HDD.

You might also try letting Windows Update install SP1.

I would 1st do what db04p71 suggested, that would be the simpler way. Also, Panasonic released a driver update that is supposed to correct this problem. Do a search in the FAQ on the TB site for this and you will find it.

Try also to set the bios into default setting and then got back to boot menu and set the cd rom on top or priority.
