I am in desperate need of the service manual for the CF-52. I just bought a new motherboard for 1700.00 and can't get the laptop apart. Heartland wants another 250.00 for the service manual. I found a forum on this site from 2010 where someone was e-mailing it and I am in need of a copy.

Can someone please help me out???

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Is there a CF-19A (2011/2012) full service manual? Not the short exploded view version.

Nope, I did not see any . I have been dealing with Heartland for over 2 years now and have beening trying to buy these service manuals and I get a big NO every time... "not for sale to the public" . You have to be a Authorized Panasonic service center to get them. You would think that a guy buying $4000.00 + in parts a year would be able to get one...nope :(

Weird. I really think they were going to sell it to me had I wanted to shell out 250.00. I checked out that website and didnt see one for my 52 model. The guy at Panasonic this morning swore the service manual (that he was "looking at") told you step by step how to open the laptop up.

They are there all right... CF-52AJYZDZM, CF-52EKMxDxM . Well I won't say how many service manuals I do have but not one of them have a step by step...just a parts break down and part numbers so you can order replacement parts

    I can get them... :D

But, I cannot give to the public... Or I get in trouble :( Because "The public isn't supposed to get them"

Heartland from what I have been told had their service manual directory on their server stolen several years ago, and they almost lost the contract w/ panasonic for their repair over it. So it is my understanding that Heartland is VERY protective of their data now.

A little bit off topic, but for me it is not understandable, why they will not give me, the consumer, the service manual to exercise my right to repair my own things. I repair really all things in and outside my household. And if I buy such expensive things, like (a house,) cars, bikes or toughbooks, I want to get the service manuals too....

I do agree with you...look at Dell. You can get any service manual you want from there web site and they do have very good service manuals...one of the best ones around.

If i buy à house, I get the drawings and calculations. If I want to repair my car, I can buy the service manual. It's expensive, but I'm able to buy it. Why can't I buy the service manual for a €4000+ laptop, that is specifically targeted at professionals that need to be able to repair/service their stuff. It's not always possible to send out your laptop.

Which is why Heartland (Atleast in the states) has a 2day turn around for 99% of units they get (according to my rep) if a unit is out of warranty, he said that they have 2 days to get the estimate to the customer, and after the customer approves/declines the repair, they have 2 days to get it back to them.

Yeah, forget that in Europe. At least a forth night. I have to send it to the dealer they send it to Cardiff uk, then it has to be checked, quoted and repaired, send back to the dealer and then back to me... Sight.

I believe you can demand to send it to heartland, BUT it will be expensive in shipping alone, and they dont cover warranty for overseas units

    Hallo

    Thanks for Info.
I know Tims and i checked it out before my Post.
In the CF-52 Manuals at Tim's are only Disassmble Guides and Part Lists - but no Schematics.

    Hallo

    On the Bord

    on the first Board :
    DL3UP1656BAA 8G
    CF52MK1L18G19252
    CF52 MK1
    DFUP1656ZB(1)
    FJ-X5 94V0

    on the Base
    CF-52CCABJAG

On the Board i found a short Circuit - if i supply that circuit with a external Power Supply at the inductor to 2V the current go to 5 A and only the Northbridge SLA5T get's hot .

to be sure i need the Schematics

I start to check the next Board now

    Best Regards
    Tom
