I recently acquired a CF-52. I upgraded to memory to 4gb and the HDD to 500g, and I love this machine. I need a KB and a memory cover if anyone knows somewhere....
I sleep in my recliner sometimes and my TB fell from the arm and appearantly hit the corner of my side table. I'm not positive that's what happened, but when I saw the damage, it's all I could think of. Since I lost the memory cover, I'm really careful about where I take it. Anyways, there is this hole in my screen. It's the size of a BB and physically deep. You can feel it with your fingers. No spidering, no lines. Just a 1in crooked streak in one direction that I assume is from it entering or exiting whatever did it. The hole itself is white inside not black. (of course when powered on) I cannot see the mouse or anything else pass behind.
Is there some sort of cover over this screen or have I hosed the whole display? I am assuming the worst since I cannot see stuff pass behind, but I thought I'd ask before I go ordering stuff since I know nothing about Toughbooks or their construction.
