Hi guys, I have a chance to get a CF-52 with the touchscreen option, but the screen is really dim, if you look close with a flashlight, you can see it. My employer was using it with an external monitor, but they are replacing the whole unit. I am having a hard time finding a new touchscreen, ( can't even find them listed for a 52 ) Could I replace it with the 15.4 regular screen if I get a different bezel. Any help would be very apprediated. Thanks.

Jeff has a LOT of info on this, but as a general guideline:

The CF-74, and 30 screens are the same as this one on this VERY RARE CF-52 Touchscreen model.

You will need a new panel with cost's $300+.

Jeff might even wanna buy it off you! Jeff's handle on here is "Sadlmkr"

    Jeff! paging Jeff!

    I'm here. What's your pleasure?

I'll trade my CF-52GCMBEAM for it as is.

To answer the question the plugs to the mobo are different. They are not interchangeable.

This was a real offer = your broken for my 70 hour GCMBEAM. I can't hold this open more than another 24 hours or so waiting for a response. If you check back in contact me.
    What's the model number?
I may be available evenings only PDT for a few days but I or a cohort WILL contact you.

    Jeff

Might as well say it here. I've seen a few forums where answers were few and far between. THIS forum is not like that. You may not like the answer but you will get answered.lol...sometimes before you hang up. :)
