I am trying to find a replacement but having no luck. I have 3 CF-52G MK2 dvd-roms but they wont work in a MK3. I searched for DV-W28S -V27 but cant find any. Any suggestion on what would work? Can I use the caddy from the MK2's with the correct dvd-rom in a MK3?

Nope. it must be the later CF52 DVD. They are sata where the earlier ones are IDE.

Look at the right side of the photo. Do you see the extra black "tit" sticking out?
That is only on the SATA caddy. A CF52P requires the SATA DVD drive.

They are very hard to find.
