The mood was slightly dampened, though.
1) I was unable to install Win XP on it. It wouldn't go past trying to read the install CD and I got the BSOD.
2) The computer came 'custom configured' for my work and there were a ton of drivers missing. I spent a few hours downloading from the site in Japan until I only have 1 driver missing but I do not know what it is for (Unknown device)
So, it's a CF53-JALZY1M. can anyone tell me what it's supposed to be?
I don't see a touchscreen or fingerprint reader so thats not it. As always, any help is appreciated.

In the device manager, what is the hardware id of the unknown device?

Maybe a stupid question, but the CF-50 series (50-53) are semi-rugged ?
Is the reason for this, because they have a fan ?
Is the cost/price of a the fastest CF-31 higher as the fastest CF-53 ? -
The fan is not the reason as the 31 has a sealed fan, the case and padding isn't as rugged as the fully rugged line, the port covers aren't as protected. The 53 doesn't have a dedicated card and they have kept the 52 series. So I am thinking the 53 is taking place of the 74 as the smaller, lighter semi-rugged area that the 74 was in but in a wide screen format. -
