    Greetings!

I'm trying to install a EM7511 WWAN card into my CF-54F. I've got hardware and software installed, the hex code in the BIOS correct (I'm assuming), but still don't have any cell access or notifications in Win10. I'm showing everything under device manager that I should be to my knowledge, but I have linked a photo so you can tell me if I'm missing anything. However, I do have one device that is not happy. rmnet-qnap-0 I have no clue what this device is...but I'm hoping you all can point me in the correct direction!

Is the wan card showing up in the network adapters?
What did you set the optional bios kit id to in the bios?

Now set to 13, and no difference. All devices are still listed as they were before.

Just reinstalled. No difference. Going to delete all devices and reinstall again.

    I'm under the belief that it's a MK2 since it's a CF-54F, however I could be wrong.

In the bios look at bios version number. The mk# is the 1st number if the bios version.
Idk if that card is compatible with the mk1,2

Bios is 2.15.xxxx, so it's a Mk2. Anything I can do? Any chance of upgrading?

You could try the gobi 5k driver.
    ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/computer/software/mc7355_driver_firmware_build4368_software.zip
If that won't get it going you could always buy a gobi card from my website....

Are you using this EM7511 driver?
What USBCOMP value is in your driver's Configuration.ini ?

No dice there either, just shows up as drivers not installed.

Gobi card isn't out of the question, but it'll have to go up the chain of command. Last ditch effort though. lol

Changing to 6, and I'll do a reinstall.

What do you mean, if six doesn't work try 1-14? What am I looking at in the photo?

The mnet-qmap has something to do with Sierra. Have you tried to load the drivers for that or possibly uninstall it?

Yes, try other usb compositions. There's a list of them with ports and qmi/mbim info on my screenshot to understand what each composition means :)

I don't know what to try to install other than the Sierra Wireless drivers I've installed that came from Panasonic.

Okay! So to be clear, change the USBCOMP in the Configuration.ini and try a reinstall each time?

Revisiting this! I've done all fourteen USBCOMPs, and nothing has changed. :(

Is the EM7511 doable in the 54 model? (Or in my 53S) or is Greg having issues with his particular laptop?

Steve. I looked at your website and your Gobi card. What do you suggest for a 53?

As far as I know the Gobi 5000 is the only cellular card that will work in a toughbook with windows 10.
    Thanks
    Steve

Is your EM7511 branded or generic Sierra? I bought a EM7455 for my CF-54 MK1/CF-20 MK1 and i had to flash it from Dell to generic Sierra, after i installed generic sierra drivers and it worked fine. As far as i know there is nothing that would prevent it from working (no cellular whitelists), you just need to figure out the right combination of firmware, bios settings and drivers.
