I thought this CF72 had built in wifi but there is no antenna. Does that mean it does not have built in WIFI. I can't seem to find anything in the system about wireless either. Am I missing something?

Did you look in the device manager?

I checked, its not there. :/
Now I'm looking for the parts to install it myself, not having much luck though. One place wanted over $500 just for the parts, I could buy another laptop for that!!! Anyone have any parts suppliers they could recommend? -

I don't know very much about this subject and even less about your computer. Sooo, take my comments with a grain of salt.
I notice that are wifi adapters available for both usb and pcmcia slots. That seems to me to be a cheap and easy way to get wifi without breaking the bank. -

Check the toughbook wiki at http://toughbook.wikispaces.com/CF-72 for pics and mods to a CF-72. Do I see 2 mini-pci slots there?
Info there also on running a wifi antenna.
I don't have a 72, but props to the creator of these mods -

I have done a internal wifi with internal antenna on a CF-72. Same basic principle as the mod on the 28 but much more involved getting the case apart. Much more complex than the 28 but you can use an internal antenna - just run it up into the top of the monitor and bammo - works like a charm. Also if it has the RIM antenna you can remove all that - no use keeping it in it.

CF-72 has built in WIFI?
