    I've got a CF-73 MK1e and want to change HDD.

    So what HDD ?

    2.5" IDE type ,the newer sata type will not work

    A friend of mine give me a Toshiba MK 1234GAX.
    120Go
    2.5" IDE,8Mo 5400 Rpm

    What do you think about ?

    It does not have the performance as good as the Samsung I like to recommend @50 MB/sec or the hitachi 7200rpm , that Toshiba tests @ 34.5 MB/sec , but it will be an improvement in throughput and capacity over the stock drive

    If it is used, for safety , after installing download and install hdtune, and look under the health tab for warnings on errors on the drive

    I swap 40 Go Hitachi 4200 rpm for a Toshiba 120Go 5400 rpm this afternoon and it is fine. A real improvement.
