    Hello,

I have a corporate client who wants to upgrade his 512MB CF-73ECM02KM on his own dime as his home office is clamping down on unnecessary spending.

Google search shows it's a legit part#, but I'm not sure which motherboard
(mk1?) to determine DDR or DDR2. I'm assuming DDR(from specs below,) but thought best to ask here first before ordering.

Does anyone agree a 1GB DDR SODIMM seems appropriate?

Found these specs for this model, but not sure of their accuracy, as I found
other specs showing 768MB as MAX ram:

    Processor Type Pentium M
    Processor Speed 1.4 GHz
    Motherboard Bus Speed 400 MHz
    Memory Installed RAM 512 MB
    RAM Technology DDR SDRAM
    Max Supported RAM 1 GB

    Help Appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Woody

Woody... Yes... It is an MK1 CF-73 and uses 200pin DDR RAM.

The 1GB stick you mentioned would work fine. You will see different RAM totals as some laptops come with a base of 256MB of RAM soldered onto the motherboard and some have 512MB there. So your customer will end up with either a total of 1.28GB or 1.5GB of RAM memory after a 1GB stick is installed.

Just make sure he removes the battery and unplugs the laptop prior to doing this. I know that this goes without saying... But you'd be surprised...
