    Hi, guys!

I noticed that my CF-74 MK4 has screen protector film on LCD.
It looks like it came that way from the factory.

Since I plan to never use pen input, I'm thinking about removing it, and not
reapplying it with a new one.
Besides, I never liked Touch Screen LCDs because they are grainy and
simply not as good as the regular LCDs.

If I remove the film, would it improve LCD quality somewhat? I'm not expecting
a miracle here but maybe a bit of brightness and/or viewing angle improvement?
That would be great... Have you guys ever compared before/after the removal?

And any tips on how to go about it? I'm thinking about simply lifting the film at the edge
with my finger nail and gently and slowly peel it off. Do you guys see anything wrong
    with this?

    Thanks!

Yes removing it will improve the visibility. I have removed them using the method you stated.

The film on some of the displays is also there to reduce glare when using them in direct sunlight. None of the Toughbooks are going to be HD-ready displays at 1600x1200 so you can play high res games with an experience similar to your desktop.

    yeah ...
try and see is about the only way .
i would heat the screen up with a blow drier as you peel the film off .
do not use a hot air gun ... this will make things too warm and may manage the screen/lcd .
