CF-74ECBADBM
Anyone know where a tether attaches to this unit? I see tethers for CF-74s for sale on the web, but have not been able to find any info on where they attach to the laptop. Thanks.

They don't I don't think...
Everyone on the web is wrong I think......... -
Thanks for the reply Rob. I guess I will have to make something to attach a tether to.

So tonight, I decided to take a break from wrenching on my bike and do something about a tether point. I used a little scrap piece of aluminum 1/32" thick, 1 3/16" long and 7/16" wide.Using a #35 (0.110") drill bit, I drilled the two mounting holes, the tether hole was made using a #13 (0.185") bit and a #6 countersink bit to chamfer the inside on the tether hole (to help cut down on wear on the tether). Total time to fab was about 1/2 hr. I spent another few minutes with a fine file to clean it up a bit.
It worked out to my liking, so I will probably do another, putting more time into the finish, and install it on the other side.
Here is a link to the pics (too lazy to re-size and post each photo):

Thanks. I am a bit embarrassed by how ruff it looks. As I said, I plan on doing another one (maybe two) putting some effort into the finish. This is a proof of concept for me.
Thanks again. -
I want to know more about the bike, lol.

The bike is a basket case I bought from a brother this spring. Aftermarket swingarm frame, '72 88" stroked shovelhead motor, '64 4-speed ratchet top tranny. It has a set of fork tubes and lowers off a 2005 Twincam FL, but I have new in boxes a complete single disc '76 wide glide front end. Going to lower it by putting the shock mount blocks, off the top of the swingarm, into the swingarm it self. Setting it up as a hand shift (right off the ratchet top) and foot clutch. Oil tank will be fabbed out of a chunk of 5" or 6" thick wall aluminum pipe.
It will be a lean, mean ridin' machine. -

Didn't take long for someone to steal my idea! :-D
