    Hey there,

I have a Panasonic CF-C1 which regularly disconnects the Intel Wireless Network adapter while connected. It will not "see" any wireless networks, and in order to get it working again, I need to disable the adaptor in the network connections window.

I have updated the driver, the bios, the EC firmware and am at a loss. Its really starting to drive me batty. I've set all power options to maximum power and its been set not to allow computer to turn off to conserve power.

The machine is running 32bit Win7 Pro and is all up to date with windows and Panasonic updates.

    Any thoughts?

Welcome to the Toughbook forum. Do you have windows managing your wifi or do you have the intel proset running it. Most of us just use the intel drivers and never install the Intel Proset. Does this happen while you are surfing the net or is it sitting for a while.

Thanks for the welcome Blair, one of the things I have tried since posting was to jump onto Intel's website, ran their driver checker application and then loaded an updated intel driver to see if that works....

That was about 3 hours ago, and it has yet to drop the connection, so I can possibly avoid a system board replacement.

Being an ex Panasonic Australia (the madhouse) employee, i spoke with the toughbook engineer and he hadn't seen an issue like this one before. I guess what throws me is that a) its intermittent, b) that it works again by disabling it in windows (which makes it an unusual fix) c) no determinable pattern to it happening that i can see (happens both when plugged in and when on batt, happens with different routers, different security settings and even does it while also connected with a wired connection)

I'll keep you updated with how it goes, but am certainly interested in any other ideas that you might have?

    Thanks

    Adam

Dude! I had this issue on my CF-31! I ended up wiping and reloading with the recovery DVD. BOOM! Problem fixed! :)
