I'm posting this in the regular forum because it gets asked a lot in buy sell trade.
Do we have a H1/H2 faq or dedicated thread?

Used H1 caddys were made from a rare metal called Unobtainium. Call Heartlands USA to purchase a new one. Someone recently said that with shipping they cost about $140.00 .. One from an H2 WILL NOT fit.

Yes I understand. The H1 caddy info should pop up in a search, which is good enough for now.

Since I had one H1 and a H2 Caddy out today and some doors I though I would post up some pictures to add to Shawn's thread.

Pictures of the standard H1 caddy.

As you can see on the next picture the sides of the caddy is angled, not flat.

Hinge door type that covers the smart card slot.

H1 caddy vs H2 caddy, H2 caddy is larger.

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook forum

Which one ? H1 or H2 . If you need a H1 and he does not have one I could let it go. I can list it on ebay if he does not still have it..

No,I got rid of all my H1 stuff, but there is a seller on ebay selling H1B's with caddy, drive and dock for $99. Worth grabbing that just for the parts.

Does anyone know the part number of the hard drive cover that goes on top of the hard drive on the CF-H2? The CF-H1 has a smaller caddy and thus a smaller cover that goes on top of it but I have yet to find a source for the hard drive covers on the CF-H2 (the plastic panel that is attached with two screws above the hard drive and sometimes contains a smart card reader on some units). Any help would be appreciated.

The sad part is...the part is my guess around $10.00-$15.00 + $20.00 minimum shipping at Heartlands Services. If you can find one on ebay for $35-$40 it would be cheaper...then sell yours.

But he needs a quantity of 10.....Shipping would not be such a big deal with that quantity.

Thank you guys, I think I created some confusion with my inquiry about the part number here.

I'm not looking for a part of the caddy, I am looking for the part of the outside casing, the curved silver-coloured cover that goes over the caddy once this is inserted.

I have a CF-H2 here which had a Smart-Card reader in the cover, I took it apart but it does not have a part number. I'm just looking for the normal cover though, the one without a smart card slot - picture attached. View attachment 114929
