I have a zero hour CF-H1CDJAZ1M I bought that has a problem with the digitizer, mostly. The cursor will follow the pen but rarely will respond to a tap and does not recognize the calibration screen.
I have several of these so the pen doesn't seem to be the problem, touchscreen works with a regular stylus until you get close to the edge, say to close a window. Won't do it but the digitizer pen will.
Now....someone has dropped the unit/dropped something on it to put a tiny nick in the outer screen,I removed the damaged screen protecter. Uninstalled and reinstalled touchscreen driver, did update driver and it says all drivers are the latest.
Running Windows 7 pro,never had a digitizer give me a problem before,ideas?

Kerry... I think that has an option in the BIOS for Touch only or Digitizer or both. Make sure it is selected properly. Press the key icon in the lower right to go into the BIOS. Use the other keys to navigate and select.
Mine has a similar issue with the touchscreen. When a window is maximized, it is hard to close it with the touch only... But the digitizer pen seems to go anywhere I need. BTW... The pen that came with mine was wonky so I am using one from a CF-18. -
Yep,it allows you to set it to digitizer only or both. I tried a digitizer pen from a CF-19 but no go. It moves the cursor but nothing else most times.Very strange.
Do me a favor and email me on how to set up the com port for gps on a cf-18 mk4. -
OK guys,I know you all know more about this then me.I'm stumped.I just want the silly thing to work so I can get rid of it.

Kerry.... Did you load the OS manually or was it loaded when you got it?
-
It was loaded when I got it but had a user password, went in under unbuntu to remove it and it was a network password. Couldn't get rid of it so yes,I manually installed the OS on another unit as this was a zero hour. Then switched caddy back.
Hoping that is the problem. -
Check your email...

Does Ubuntu LiveCD give the same results?

Here's the crazy thing....... I managed to do a factory restore on it and used another stylus to calibrate the screen. Tried the original and it sorta worked so hey....take one from another H1 and sell it,screen goes nuts.
Take original pen and it works. I'm selling it as we speak.........go figure.
