    Hello all,
I know that the hard drive caddy for the cf-h1b is fairly rare but I was wondering is there another model that would fit? maybe with some alterations possibly? I am in need a between 20 and 40 of these things and I really don't feel like spending a fortune to repair these machines.

Any help would be appreciated thanks

Unless you can find them used, new will cost you right at $113 each + shipping. I'm within a few dollars on the price.

If i recall, they are specific to cf h1. Cf h2 will not fit.
H1b may be different than h1a...i have a thread on it somewhere here.

H1A&B are the same,I ran into the same thing. Had about a dozen H1's in mint condition with low hours, one day I lined them up on the tailgate of my truck, took the photo and sold them for parts.
No way was I going to pay $1200+ for caddies. I will keep an eye out for used caddies for you.

Yeah, I really don't want to have to pay for the caddies, it would eat into any profit i might get if not costing me money in the end. I'm considering parting them out, maybe selling the batteries and the screens on ebay or something

The thing is you can buy complete units on eBay right now for $100 or less, they are a serious loser and I lost. The battery's and docks will work with the CF-H2 so you can sell them. The rest? Not so much, list them complete for $30 each and you might get rid of them.

I wish I could tell you something better but I really can't.

    Thanks Blair....

I'm posting this in the regular forum because it gets asked a lot in buy sell trade.
Do we have a H1/H2 faq or dedicated thread?

Used H1 caddys were made from a rare metal called Unobtainium. Call Heartlands USA to purchase a new one. Someone recently said that with shipping they cost about $140.00 .. One from an H2 WILL NOT fit.
