    Hi
I recently bought a 512MB SDR 133MHz RAM module for my CF-M34 Mk6 from an Ebay vendor. I asked him (100% positive feedbacks) about compatibility before purchasing, so I was relatively sure it would have worked.
Unfortunately it wasn't the case :(
The readings showed only the resident 256MB
The very collaborative vendor suggested me to check the RAM with a couple of programs like CPU-Z and Everest. In CPU-Z at the first check...voila'... the 768 value popped out but still control panel viewed 256  .
Just to be sure I removed the module, checked at 256, reinserted it and this time I got 1760MB  (still 256 for control panel/system...)
I guessed something strange was happening... the vendor telling me that if the laptop turn on and is not beeping everything is ok!
Could someone help me in this puzzle?!

I think you are fried because your machine supports a TOTAL of 512MB of RAM.... That means 256 on board and a stick of 256. We have, on the CF-28 models, ben able to go up to 768mb total (with 256 on board) but it is VERY picky about exactly what type of RAM you use.

I'd try 256MB, 144-pin SODIMM, SDRAM, PC133... Crucial of Kingston brand...

    Please let us know...

Oh... and see if you can get your money back....

BTW.... Does it show 768 in the BIOS? Or just 256?

Ahh... You may be right... Have you searched Google for the exact PDF spec sheet for your laptop? It will most likely be hosted on one of Panasonic's sites... Any of their 168 websites! (Seems like anyway)
