The screen on my Cf-M34 does not seem bright enough. I have successfully loaded WIN XP Pro on it and all the drivers and everything works great. I just feel the screen should be a little easier to read. The FN key increases and decreases the brightness somewhat but even with it adjusted all the way up it still seems dim. It is a touchscreen model. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

They are not all that bright to start with.
The early models do suffer from backlight falure.
The signs of failure on the backlight is a redish colour on the panasonic boot screen.
2 types of screens were available
    transflective and normal
The transflective were not as bright indoors
