The CF-S10 isn't sold by any English-language subsidiary of Panasonic but it is sold in Japan. (Successor of CF-W9) Business rugged 12.1" notebook with supposed 16.5h battery life and 1340g weight, etc. etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this laptop, and how it stacks up against similar ultraportables like Lenovo X220? I am aware of the fact that X220 prices are in continual free fall, and S10 starts at ~$1500. Thanks.

I can't imagine price as the primary consideration of a new TB purchaser. Comparably "performing" units can almost invariably be had for a fraction of the price.

There are several CF-S10 Pre-Production models out right now. It replaced the CF-S9. The only difference between the 2 is the Processor and Hard Drive size.

In my opinion, I am not a big fan of the Business Rugged models.

I know, I am not comparing on price here.

    Why is that?

Me not liking the Business Rugged models? Well, I find them to be very fragile and they seem to run hot all the time.

Do you think it is more or less fragile than X220? at the very least, either of them should be better than the current crop of consumer laptops...

I'm sorry I can't answer that as I have never dealt with the Lenovo one before.
