Sorry if this post is in the wrong forum, first time submitter...

I have a CF-T8 Toughbook that I can't get the speaker to work. I can hear sound through a headset but nothing from the speaker itself. All drivers are updated. Anybody run into this issue before and if so, what you did to fix it? Please help! I'm going crazy!

    TIA...Greg

    Could be microphone jack.
Jeff had a similar problem with a cf29..He ended up restoring the drive using the Panasonic original recovery disk to repair it.
He had reinstalled several OS's several times.
I think the recovery disk reset the BIOS. possibly flashed it. Maybe it had to do with the ACHI thingy.

There is a thread I could not find where the problem was in the jack...the member kept taking the plug in and out and the next thing you know it started working...

Thanks for the reply. The speaker may have well went out but it's virtually impossible to replace. I tried taking another one apart one time and basically destroyed the laptop. Oh well, guess it's headphones for me :)

Is it the sound max? If so, after installing the driver by exe. file reboot. Then go to device manager and install again thru the device manager by pointing out to the extracted file. Then, if the extracted has a registry editor, you must installed it also.
