    I never have had a CF U1 apart but I bet you need to look on the main board that is under the metal framework that is in the photos.

    If I remember right if it didn't come from the factory with WWAN it doesn't have the special daughter card that is needed internally. I have yet to take one of mine apart yet for the gps upgrade. I know that can be done with out any special boards though. If we can find the connector maybe a cf-19 board could be shoehorned in.
