    Hey guys,
I am a new member here and could really use some help.
I work at a shop that services several vehicles that have CF-VDL02 screens installed in them... they are now coming out of warranty. For years we have had a problem with the screens losing their ability to recognize and accept touch on the middle right of the screen.
so if you were to run your finger from the top right corner to the bottom right corner along the edge of screen there will be a point that the curser would leave your finger and move in towards the middle of the screen.

Some screens this is only a very small and manageable area that does not accept touch input... others it can be nearly half the area of the screen.

We have been sending these in for warranty repair.. but now to get this fixed it is costing us $1000... seems there must be an easier and cheaper way for us to do this in house.

anyone know what might cause this... and what parts I would need and where I can get them to fix this issue?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Aaron

That indicates the touchscreen is defective, You can get the touchscreen/front cab from Heartland and do it your self. But honestly, if the Touchscreen is all thats wrong with it, it would be around 500 to repair at heartland, (I do the same thing as you at my company). The touchscreen is around 250-300ish, then you have Heartlands labor and diagnostic fee(130), then shipping, for me it was 40, and insurance which i believe was 15

Do you know who I should talk to at heartland? I have talked to them in the past... and have just called today as well and I am told tehy do not sell parts to this screen. I can either have them repair it or buy a entire new monitor.

Heartland has been charging is $995 to fix this for us.... so if we can get the part for $300 My managers would love me for that :)

I will have to look again as to what the charges were. What else was replaced? If the lcd is cracked I have seen it to to around that amount but not just a touchscreen its self.
