    Hi!

I am currently deciding whether to pick up a CF-W2 for cheap on the Electronic Harbor or take a little bit more of cash and go for the CF-W5 (which according to my research should be the last true fanless model, right?).

Now the CF-W5 has been around for quite a while, so I will most likely have to get a new battery for it. But I find a lot of batteries that claim to be 'compatible' with the CF-W5, but they can be had with 4400, 6600 and 7800 mAh.

    Now:
    1. Is it true, that the original batteries have 7800 mAh?
    2. How much runtime do you get from your battery (and which capacity does that have)? (The German wikipedia states 11h runtime, clearly that can only be reached with a 7800mAh battery?)
    3. Can anyone direct me to a wiki/site with more info on that model, preferably not in japanese (I am learning, but Kanji are so difficult :/)

    Any help is much appreciated!

My CF-W5 came with the CF-VZSU47 battery. 10.65V and 5.7 Ah.

The original battery, as Stardust says, was the CF-VZSU47U. It did 5700mAh (5.7Ah), and 10.65V.

Quoted at 11 hours of battery life (when running XP), obviously highly depends on CPU usage, WLAN, WWAN etc etc.

The longest my W5 ever ran was just under 5 hours.

BTW, I think the real disadvantage of both the W5 and W2 is that they use ATA drives instead of SATA. the former are lower capacity and getting a little harder to find.
