I have just purchased a CF-WEB273 dock for my CF-29. All works well, but it has a external antenna connection that I am not sure what its for  any help would be welcome.

The dock's external antenna usage will depend on what your Toughbook's pass-through connector is connected to inside the chassis.

Could be WLAN or WWAN (or like my CF-29 Mk5, both, as it has dual pass-throughs).

Thanks TC. To find this out I would have to look inside I take it? I have a mk1 CTKGZKM, I don't think it has been modifed.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but does the double pass-through choose which signal to send with-in the computer and use just one antenna to send/recieve the signal/s. Can you have both working at the same time?

This is getting real interesting thinking of what I can do with it, I've had fun already with it getting it running and hav'nt had it to bits yet!

    CF-29CTKGZKM DESCRIPTION:
Pentium M 1.2GHz (Centrino), 13.3" Transmissive touch screen, 40GB HDD, 256 MB RAM, 56K/LAN, FDD, Intel PRO Wireless LAN, WIN XP
My double pass-through CF-29 Mk5 requires the CF-WEB2912 Panasonic Vehicle Mount Port Replicator with Dual High-Gain Antenna Pass-Through.
Think: 1GB PC2700 DDR 200-pin SODIMM, as a starting point.

Thanks again TC, I have upgraded the ram by 1gb as you point out and also put in a 7200rpm hard drive as suggested in a few threads here. Both made a lot of difference. I am starting to look at an internal gps and AT&T card. Think I may get an old cheap unit to strip down and play with first before I get into this one.
