Not sure if anyone has any experience of the CF-WEB273 Auto Docking Station but if anyone has ever used one of these, do you know if it is possible to get a wiring harness pre-built for it.

The Unit comes with standard plugable connectors for serial, USB, Power, VGA etc, however there is a real nice set of ports underneath that are obviously made for a wiring harness for a really neat installation in the vehicle however they use a number of connectors somewhat like car multi connectors, all of the two pin high and various numbers of pins wide. It would be nice to get hold of the wiring harness which I presume that Panasonic would have made for it so that I can get a really nice installation. if not it's no real bother as all the neccessary ports can be wired out using standard type connectors.

    Cheers

I highly doubt that Panasonic would make a wiring harness for it as these are intended to be highly customizable for custom installations into EMS and police cars and what not. Just look up the standard wiring for parallel and serial and USB and whatnot, as its all standard and then look on ebay, I'm sure you'll find something. Another place that is great for this custom made stuff/cables would be Microcenter or even better Frys Electronics. Good luck on your journey!!

P.S. this port replicator DOES NOT WORK with a Mark 3 CF-29. I bought one on eBay against my instincts (stupid me) and it didn't work just like my instincts told me it wouldn't!

Think you are right rob, just a chance. In actual fact I don't think it is actually worth it as I only want to wire through the power and USB port anyway (USB to connect to my PDA to use it for network access as I am going to use the internal Bluetooth for the GPS antenna. I'm currently watching a mount for the docking station as well - actually one for a CF-27 but the mounting plate fits straight on the bottom of the CF-WEB273.

I think for the Mk 3 CF-29 you need the CF-WEB2732.
