Oops I did it again...... :D

I tried it on a BIOS locked CF19 first..I did not want the magic smoke to come out of my good CF19..I will convert it this week:thumbsup:.
I can't wait to see the increase in battery life.
I used only one strip. I don't think there is room for two :(..I needed to pay attention and watch out for fingerprints. I had to completely remove and reinstall the reflective sheets.
I removed the metal CCFL holder and threw it away. I put a 1/4 inch white strip to cover the reflector directly behind the LED strip. Attached it with double faced tape. Same tape I used to attach the LED strip.

Good job, man! Did you eliminated the reflection on the LCD near the LED area. I've tried different reflector on cf-74 LCD but still those reflection are visible. The only way to eliminate those is to adjust a bit away the LED strip from the LCD glass.

It would be good to add some hot melt glue to the wires coming off the LED strip.

You sure you can't fit 2 strips in there?

I might be able to fit 1 1/2  I checked again when I installed the strip in my personal CF19.

I just measured the metal CCFL holder I removed. It fit in snugly in the groove where the LED strip goes. It is .111 inches or 2.81mm...I believe these strips are 2mm.

If I left one led strip partially hang out the back, they may fit. I would then need to rearrange the rubber LCD stops on the lid.
The reflector would not fit perfectly flush then either.

It would be nice to have 2 strips. It needs the extra light in daylight.
