Hi, I have a CF19 that I have for 6 months with no issue.
It didn run XP Pro but have now dual booted it with XP pro and Vista (with seperate partitions).
On the Vista side, the touchscreen drivers all install OK and I can calibrate the screen with no issues.
After a few re-boots though, the screen loses its calibration and the pointer is about 20mm out. If I go to the calibration utility to re-calibrate (device manager>tablet calibration all that happens is I here a windows "ding" when the pen is released from the screen and the red cross doesnt move.
If I go to util2/drivers and start Calwin I can touch the red crosses and they move but the accuracy of the pointer never improves.
If I delete and re-install the drivers it works again for a while.
Heeeeeelllllllllpppppppppppppppp
Thanks In advance, Steve

I'm not an expert on the CF-19 but I think this has been discussed before. You may want to search... Even on Google but follow the links to here.
I "think" you may need to install a different driver for XP. You may also try (when in XP) to uninstall the mouse driver under Device Manager, reboot and let in reinstall. If you need to download a different driver you must install it by updating the mouse driver... I don't think it is a self-installing driver.
Let us know! -
The XP side of things is working fine, its the Vista partition thats not working.

Ahhh... OKay... Sorry... My eyes were backwards... Can you post your exact full model number? I'll search for a driver...
-
Panasonic shows two different drivers for the CF-19 for Vista and XP... Try downloading the correct driver for the OS you need and installing it. The DriverFAQ that Cap just put up should have all the links you need.

I have the 2 seperate drivers on each partition.
Model is CF19FHGAFBE, 3 partitions on a 250gb hard drive.
Partition 1 is XP Pro, from the recovery disk
Partition 2 is for file storage
Partition 3 is Vista Home Premium (genuine) OEM version.
All drivers were downloaded from links from this site.
Steve -
So you downloaded this one for Vista: tscreen_1930_11_d070150.exe
And this one for XP: tscreen_19_1_d050736.exe
???? This is what I show listed as the correct drivers.... Just curious... -
tscreen_19_2_d071057.exe for Vista (which is what I get from https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pc/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi)
and
tscreen_19_2_d070882.exe for XP
As I am told its a MK2 CF19, not a MK1....... I assume the drivers you have posted are for the MK1?
Steve -
! I DO need to get my eyes checked... You are correct... It is a MK2... Sorry again... Jeez... My mind is slipping today!
Okay... I show Vista Driver as this... tscreen_19_2_d071057.exe
And the XP driver as this... tscreen_19_2_d070882.exe
So... You have the correct drivers... Have you tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them? YOu said that you have two drivers on each partition... Is that correct or a slip? You should only have one driver on each partition for the touchscreen. -
A slip, 1 driver in each partition, if I re-install then it works for several reboots and then looses its settings, thats the problem!

Even if I delete the folder Util2/drivers/tscreen and all its contents, the touchscreem still works but must be using another driver, maybe built in Vista?
Steve -
Have you tried deleting it through Device manager and THEN deleting the folders?
-
This is what I have been doing as we have been posting.
I run the uninstaller in the tscreen folder, and then deleted the folder. Touch screen was still working but not accurate.
Restarted the PC and I extracted the driver to util2/drivers/tscreen but I noticed that the touchscreen was STILL working so there must be a Vista driver (as vista supports tablets that wouldnt supprise me). At this point I have NOT run the FDSetup exe.
There is now a Tablet Calibration icon in control panel so have run that with success. When previously running this, the calibration doesnt work, the programme freezes.
So, working screen just now, will see in time if thats the problem sorted, if so it would seem to be a conflict between pana driver and Vista's own driver.
Now to get the tablet buttons working..............lol
Steve -
You need to have one of the CF-19 pros step in... I'm sure they will drop by today or tonight...
But if these drivers are installed correctly and partitioned correctly... There cannot be a conflict between drivers as you should only have the XP driver on the XP partition and the Vista driver on the Vista partition. So that shouldn't matter. IF (Big IF)... If the drivers install the same as some of the other drivers they do not self install the touchscreen. It will install the drivers to the folder... But you must go into Device manager to tell it to reinstall the driver and then point it to the correct folder where the correct driver is located. -
Yes, I am aware of that, I should run the setup exe in the drivers/tscreen folder. I was doing that but have not done it so far as its working without it as I beleive its on a Microsoft driver.

Steve... To my knowledge... Microsoft doesn't include touchscreen drivers... Just mouse drivers.
