Maybe this has been answered before but I haven't found it.

I have a CF19MK4 and and MK3. The MK4 came with gobi and has the 1/2 "wing" style antenna covers on the side. Them MK3 was "wireless ready" and has the flat antenna covers which I call "normal." I added the MC5725 to both units (replaced the gobi in the MK4)

What is the difference between the two antenna covers other than physical looks? I have looked at both covers and the wing one doesn't have anything special that I noticed.

Nothing, the wings that stick out further are to comply with US regulations about the distance between the antennae and your body (you might irradiate yourself with 3G signals, mutate and terrorise the locals if you didn't have them).

They don't exist in Europe or Japan.
