i just got an OEM CD drive and caddy from ebay. I tried to boot from the cd drive to do a new windows install, and I got a PXE-E61 MEDIA TEST FAILURE message, then it boots to windows. In windows, it recognizes the CD drive, even knew it was a Teac branded one, but if I double click it in my computer, it says "Please insert disc" when there's a good disc in it.

    Any suggestions?

You need to go into bios (F2 while booting)and see if the drive is listed there
You need to set boot options so that CD drive is first on the list
Check that the cd caddy is firmly seated

Gah, I'm retarded. The drive is listed and works fine. I was trying to use a DVD in the CD drive.

Yeah, we've all been there... but most people don't post about it while they're there.

Anybody know which drivers to use for OEM GPS on a CF-28?
