Hi all, I have been looking at all the threads regarding wireless cards for the Panasonic CF28. I have just brought one second hand and it does not have a wireless card, my question is can any internal wireless card be used? If not is it down to the physical size of the card and/or some other specification?

Wifi is EASY to add to the CF-28... But yes... You DO need the correct size Mini-PCI card. The Engenous 600mW card is what I use... On the CF-28 and CF-29. Great card and fits well. You can read up on the link above for antenna options that are easy to add. All in all... You can have it up and going in about 15 -60 minutes, depending on what type you go with and how you install the antenna.

    Keep us posted!

    Hi all,
Still trying to get my head around the different types of cards, PCI and PCIe, I have seen offered a wireless card but I think it's a PCIe, model Atheros AR5BMB5, can anyone tell me is this a PCI or a PCIe card. I have looked it up online and it says its a PCI express card. Does the e in PCIe stand of express?
Filling in my tax forms feels easier than this....

    thanks of any help,
    Mack

    Pci-e is an express card
You need a standard mini pci card ,an example is an intel 2915abg

The Engenous 600mW (or 400mW) card is awesome! :)
