Well, I popped a key off because there was a crumb under it.

Now I can't get the bugger back on.

It obviously pivots on these two plastic pieces, but I have no idea how they're supposed to go together.

    Heellppp.

Just place the key where it's suppose to be and press down.

I have found that if you place it just a hair too high and push down while ever so slightly pulling toward yourself, it should pop right back on.

WHat kind of KB is it? Which key? It just so happens that I have a donor KB here, that I use for key replacements. Lemme know if you need one.

You guys are ASSUMING that the 2 plastic retaining clips are still attached to the keyboard.

To the OP: if the two plastic retaining clips are attached to the key it's self, you will NEED to remove them and put them on the keyboard correctly first before just pushing the key back on.

    Thanks

Plenty more where they came from.

Agreed. Forgot about that although, I think I was able to do it once with the 2 clips still attached to the keyboard.

    Depends on the keyboard.

CF-19 keyboards are more forgiving than CF-29/30/31 keyboards...
