Just went to Panasonic toughbook drivers website and downloaded the wifi and other stuff for the new vista install but nothing is working. It says no wifi is installed, no Bluetooth etc. It's a fresh install of Windows Vista ultimate (yes COA is Vista business).

Is there a automated thing that will download the appropriate drivers?
    Model # is CF30FAS89AM

Just go to your driver folder and double click on the wifi installer. After you do all the Vista updates you Bluetooth should work.

I downloaded the 3rd mk2 list of drivers, installed all alphabetically and machine is working.
Is there way to find out if this is a 64bit chip or 32bit?
    I installed 32bit but if it's a 64bit machine I would rather use that.

Stay with 32bit. 32 bit will be faster and run better unless you install 8gb of ram.

you most likely will not run into programs that require the crunchability of 64 bits .
it's kind of like using a double A fueler rail to go two blocks to a mom-n-pop store to get a loaf of bread .

the only real gain is if the cpu and side buss speeds are fast enough to manipulate 64 bits , the program is written for 64 bit and is capable of multi-threaded operation .
there are other considerations ... many of the techs at MS say to stick with 32 bit MSO to avoid compatibility problems inherent with the 64 bit version .
