There you go, I am looking for the brand/models of micro USB Flash HDD fit under the closed cover of a CF30 Mk2? I am of course looking for a deal and want to find a pair of the largest and fastest for the bux! Any ideas, or better, experience! :D

If you are looking for more storage space don't forget you have SD card slot also. I know the 32 GB model will work, but I haven't tried the 64GB model on it yet for the Mk2.

Thanks, I am kind of reserving that slot for ReadyBoost! :D

I looks like you would come out cheaper and better to use one SanDisk Cruzer CZ33 64GB USB Flash Drive (SDCZ33-064G-B35)! Of course, you could also run two! They "look" to be the same physical size and form factor...

Good question... My bet is yes, I just put my money on that it will! : )

My earlier comment was not correct however, there is no reason to use ReadyBoost in my CF30 with the Samsung 250GB SSD in there. So ADOR's observation does bare more of my consideration.

When a SSD is installed in your system W7 disables ReadyBoost . I have been down this road before :)

Understand ReadyBoost and whether it will Speed Up your System

If you have 4 gb of ram I don't ever use all 4gb of ram in my Mk2 even when playing a First Person Shooter.

Also if you want more space if you don't use your pcmcia slot with a sd card adapter that becomes a option also.

Well I am happy to report that the SanDisk Cruzer CZ33 64GB USB Flash Drive (SDCZ33-064G-B35) fits and is recognized on the CF-30 Mk2 by both Windows 7 and Ubuntu! They "look" to be the same physical size and form factor as the 32GB models, but I do not have one of those to really compare.

This is a cheap and easy way to add 128GB (minus overhead....) of solid state storage the easy way! Thanks for a great idea!

BTW, check out the dual "Self-Certification" of Windows 7 and Ubuntu! I crack myself up... :D

I'm going to hi jack this thread for a moment.
Azrial, did you have to do anything special in the bios when you swapped the fingerprint reader to the mk2?

Talk to Jeff, he did the heavy lifting while my hand is on the mend! It does work however!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program, "Azrial's CF-30 sure has a big pair!"
