    Hello everyone,

My first post and a new Toughbook owner. I bought a used CF30 Mk2 with Win7 already on it so I don't know if done correctly. I also bought a used CF-WEB301M vehicle dock separately. If the power cord is plugged into the dock and the CF30 connected, the battery charges, but ports don't work (LAN, USB tried) and the dock LED is steady red. The ports do work on the laptop.

I found the WIN 7 upgrade instructions on ToughWiki and updated the chipset drivers, the Panasonic Misc Driver, and the PortReplicatorLAN driver without luck. Any thoughts?

Bios is set enabled for the port replicator, I even tried cycling it. As the laptop will be used only for one low-demand program, I'm thinking of back-leveling to Vista.

I am curious if it is Windows7 or a hardware issue.

Here is the proper driver bundle. Install it as an administrator.
    ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/computer/software/30kl-mk3-7x86.exe

If you decide to swap back to vista I would make a back up of your 7 install first or swap hard drives just to see if that is it or not.

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook forum

Did the seller put a W7 COA on the bottom of the 30 ? If you plan on going back to Vista at least try to locate the W7 COA code/serial number so later on if you want to install it again you will have it.

Get a program called keyfinder,it will show you the COA number used on your install.
